Amazon announced new versions of all its Kindle devices, and also its first color e-Reader. So first up we have the Kindle Colorsoft with its 7" Kaleido E Ink displays (300 PPI in monochrome mode, 150 PPI in color mode). It offers 32GB of storage, up to 8 weeks battery life, and is waterproof. It will ship before the end of October, for $279.99.
Amazon also announced its 2nd generation Kindle Scribe eNotebook, with a 10.2" 300 PPI monochrome display and several new features including generative AI to summarize handwritten notes (the new software features will also arrive to users of the original Kindle Scribe). The new Scribe will ship on December 2024 starting at $399.99 for the 16GB model.
Amazon further announced new versions of its Kindle Paperwhite with its 7-inch 300 PPI display, starting at $159.99 for the ad-supported model and its entry level 6-inch Kindle, which goes for $109.99.
